If you are looking for something to do, check the Getting involved page. There's also a Getting involved talk page.

I think it would improve the wiki and make it more accessible to everyone, if we added links on the main page to more content pages that don't have a link yet. I can't do it myself though, so I'd appreciate if someone else considered doing it. I have looked up all content pages at https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php?title=Special:AllPages&hideredirects=1 and I have made a list of most of the ones that aren't yet linked on the main page, excluding all that focus on specific emulators and a few more that I thought were better off staying inside other links. Also, there's at least 2 pages on this list that aren't linked from any other page, XD/XD+ and Thread_template. Here's the list:

-188.114.111.202 18:11, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll start adding some. -Jpx (talk) 05:52, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. That was fast. -188.114.111.160 09:22, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
More of those have been added on MainPageWIP page. - WebMint (talk) 02:27, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

New main page

I've been thinking about remaking the main page. I'll probably create a separate WIP page to test it out. There's mainly two reasons:

  • Make it easier to contribute to the wiki - this might be things like highlighting high priority tasks on the main page
  • Different layout of emulators - I've been thinking about separating console, computers and arcade emulators.

Let me know if you got any suggestions. -Jpx (talk) 06:48, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

Will it still be remade? - WebMint (talk) 17:17, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Quality control

Some pages are of subpar quality or outdated. I think we need some better way of quality control. Perhaps something like Wikipedias Content assessment & Vital aritcles or something like PCGamingWiki? A way to go thru all pages, add a category or template and then be able to list all pages that needs fixing. Perhaps we should rate the quality of all pages? -Jpx (talk) 06:48, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

{{WIP}}, {{Outdated}} and {{stub}} take care of the real subpar ones, and for the rest I think it'd be best to keep it simple by either adding Category:Article_complete or Category:Article_incomplete to the page.
We should also have something to check against, so how about Emulation General Wiki:Guidelines as a guide. --SonofUgly (talk) 03:55, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Data Loss (2021-07-03)

Yesterday on the 2nd the wiki's database got corrupted, and I was unable to restore it. Due to an issue with mySQL logging, the server's drive was also completely full so backups of the database weren't being made. Because of these issues I've had to roll the wiki back to the most recent offline backup I had, which unfortunately is 6 months old. So to everyone who made edits in the past 6 months, I'm very sorry, I've lost those contributions.

I believe I've fixed the issue with mySQL, and will be checking the server's status and making offline backups more regularly, as well as using a service to backup the server's instance in full. --SonofUgly (talk) 22:18, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

TODO lists for each page?

I think it'd be a good idea to add TODO lists to the talk pages of each console page. It'd help us keep track of things like which emulators need to be tested and added.

Side note, is there a way we can test the accuracy of NES and FDS emulation? Like determine if accuracy is low, midrange, high, or cycle accurate? ~Charlie OrphanedPixel (talk) 20:05, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Hello, on the Fightcade page, its title should be "Fightcade", not "FightCade", if it could be changed, thanks. -ludg1e https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/FightCade

iOS and touchHLE

Should we get rid of iOS’s ‡? While it’s still in very early development, touchHLE is already able to run at least one commercial app and it looks very promising, but it’s still a far cry from what we usually would call mobile device emulation – it’s very high-level, and it’s more of an iOS substitute that runs alongside a CPU emulator. The iOS itself isn’t even planned to be supported. I personally think that the ability to run apps should alone be grounds to consider the iOS emulated, but I can see how that could be controversial. rariteh (talk) 05:42, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

It’s been a week and nobody replied, so, considering that systems like the PS4 and Super A’Can don’t have it even though the current state of their emulation is barely practical, I’ll take iOS’s off for now. rariteh (talk) 05:22, 13 February 2023 (UTC)

"Compatibility" column for each page?

Because most people confusing "Accuracy" with "Compatibility" actually, what do you guys think?

Example;

Name Platform(s) Latest Version GB/GBC NDS Single
Pak
Multi
Pak
Wireless GBA-to-GC e-Reader libretro Accuracy Compatibility FLOSS Active Recommended
PC /x86
mGBA Windows Linux macOS FreeBSD Web Dev builds
0.10.5
~ (WIP) High High

Ahayri (talk) 12:07, 27 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm cool with it if others are, also you could remove the Libretro column since you added libretro to all the Latest Version columns. - OldManKain (talk) 05:28, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

How about some drastic changes?

How about no recommendation from now on? Also providing "compatibility" column instead of "accuracy" so there will be no confusion.
I mean we're already providing info about hardware feature support, peripherals, variations, enhancements and compatibility. Wiki users should decide their own favorite, no? Otherwise, it will be total mess like Game_Boy/Game_Boy_Color_emulators#Emulators.

Name Platform(s) Version Arcade
Variations
Hardware Features
and Peripherals
Enhancements Compatibility FLOSS Active
DuckStation Windows Linux macOS Preview
Latest
Legacy*
SwanStation
~ ~xx%

Mednafen Windows Linux macOS FreeBSD 1.32.1

XEBRA Windows 22/11/06 ~ ~xx%

Ahayri (talk) 00:39, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

I like combining "Arcade variations", "Hardware features and peripherals" and "Enhancements" into one column each. Compatibility column sounds good, but maybe keep accuracy. I don't like removing recommendations, instead we should remove some of the recommended on the GB page (and on other pages), try to keep it to as few as possible recommend by following the rules on the Recommended emulators page, should be around two-three recommended only. -Jpx (talk) 10:04, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Why are x86 emulators placed on the Pong page?

They used to have their own page and easily accessible. Now they are listed with Pong and other chips, and not even listed under the "Personal Computers" section (its namesake) of home page, which is where people look for PC emulators.

Wouldn't it be better to create a specific x86 page?

- The issue here is "Brick Game 9999-in-1" is a very vague name and they are like millions of variations of this kind of Tetris stuff back in the 1990s. It's better just listed in "Dedicated consoles" or "Strange & forgotten consoles" if decided to be included in this Wiki rather than having its own page or even in the Main Page. Put "General Emulation" section first

I recommend you put the "General Emulation" section to top as opposed to having these sections in alphabetical order since I believe "General Emulation" contains devices and systems much more people care about and are interested in and this also doesn't make the new design that much more foreign to the old one?

  • Was done, thanks.
  • Edit: WTF is the new sections design now? So many random stuff and big things like Android, iOS and etc. are sooo way down the bottom, the new design doesn't make good sense at all.

Endangered Category Rules

To make sure this category doesn't bloated with too many Games, Software and Hardware, the rules below need to be followed.

  • Games, Software and Hardware must have their own page
  • They must be historically significant
  • Their page must give a reason why their significant & endangered
  • They must be Undumped and or Undocumented

(Note about the last one: The concern is not that these Games, Software and Hardware are Unemulated \ Unsimulated, the concern is they haven't been dumped and or documented.)

Any Games, Software or Hardware that don't pass the four rules check, gets be added to the Endangered list

adding "Protoweb" and "WaybackProxy" projects to "Not really emulators section?

These are quite useful for "PC operating systems (OS)" section (DOS-based, Windows 1.0x/2x/3x series, Windows 9x series, Windows NT series and MacOS). I'm not sure which section is the right place for these proxy projects.

There are websites like https://www.myretrotvs.com/ for watching captured footage from broadcast TV channels or various videos from the eras of the '50s to '00s, eliminates the need for handpicking videos and creating a personal collection, which can be time-consuming and require a significant amount of storage space. As far as I know, this website simply gathers videos from specific YouTube playlists and similar sources, so we can say that this website offers a simulated experience of watching TV channels from during those specific eras, similar to what you might have seen on broadcast television systems. It also supports some basic shaders and filters and overlay/bezels. While this is a great way to experience retro television, there's room for even deeper immersion. For example adding surfing channel collections playlists, this could be achieved by integrating with Archive.org's vast collection of VHS TV channel surfing captures. Also integration with EmuVR, perhaps with some kind of support for playlists support for libretro core, could be a great next step too.

OC column for each system?

Similar to "Texture/Sprite Replacement" and "RIR" columns i think now its time to add "OC" column for each of these pages;

68000 Clock Divider for Genesis: Supported by BlastEm and MAME.
Adjusting blitter speed for Jaguar/Jaguar CD: Supported by BigPEmu.
Adjusting CPU Clock Speed for 3DO: Supported by opera_libretro / 4DO.
Virtual cpu clock control for original Xbox: Supported by xemu PR[1467].
Extra scanlines of processing? for NES and SNES emulators

win9x, dos or other "ancient" emulators

for example: nesticle is still in the Nintendo_Entertainment_System_emulators page, i think we should only keep these older emulators in History_of_emulation and Emulators_on_DOS pages. Ahayri (talk) 18:32, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

I believe "that time" is slowly approaching, this job will require a significant effort though. Are there any volunteers?

and also turning !colspan="xx"|x86 to x86_64, and !colspan="xx"|ARM to ARM64 from dedicated system pages, after adding Multi-system emulators and moving older/obsolete emulators to their dedicated sections.

Changing latest version, active status, and download in tables

  • How about making some changes to how we present latest version and active status for emulators in tables?

Maybe include a date for the last update, like 2024-03-09?

Maybe use a template for the download links, so it's easily updated and can be mirrored on multiple pages?

Other suggestions? -Jpx (talk) 14:29, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

  • I like the idea, but I would like to know how we might create a template for the download links in the event that the links have distinct domain names and may dynamically change. Chipsum (✉️) 18:08, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
  • I've been thinking the same thing actually, i've also been thinking the website could benefit from some minor design changes. For example, left and right columns are huge problem to the large tables, these wide columns making the large tables feel even more cumbersome. Even the MainPageWIP page utilizes these large columns: https://imgur.com/a/ZnBH3PA Ahayri (talk) 17:39, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
  • The right column is fixable, the left one is part of mediawiki default design, I am a webdev I can solve that but I don't know who is the webmaster it's up to @SonofUgly. As for the tables I am wrapping them between <div style="overflow-x:auto">, this will make the table responsive on mobile (and also on any viewport) it will create an overflow if it overflow's the page's container and adds horizontal scrolling bars on PC and on mobile you swap left and right to scroll the table (without any change to the page).Chipsum (✉️) 12:11, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

InfoBox

I suggest this style for infoboxes, colors are demonstrative only you can change them or probably we make a variety of colored infoboxes,
I replaced the caption with a span inside the infobox, with a background color to make it look like a caption.
if all is ok, we still need the confirmation of the webmaster, since it's not possible to change the css of an infobox without accessing css files for it.

Notable projects and people section

Some people might find these projects and individual developers interesting to follow, so creating a dedicated section could be beneficial.

Needs attention
There are several systems that require more attention from the emulation community. While multiple emulators exist, none of them appear particularly promising.
Promising projects
There are several promising projects in active development — currently in a highly incomplete state with limited compatibility and with a basic user interface.
Delayed dreams
While more mature than 'promising projects', these are still don't reach the level of 'most impressive' projects.
Most impressive
State-of-the-art projects, excellent compatibility levels, robust hardware feature and peripheral support, and comprehensive enhancement support.
Most active and notable developers in the emulation and related scenes
A dedicated section highlighting and featuring prominent figures for projects in the emulation scene could significantly contribute to the wiki's awareness and also it would be beneficial for the emulation community.
Other notable active contributors

Feel free to replace these with your own. Also see History of emulation. Ahayri (talk) 14:59, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

Suggestion: Replace "FLOSS" column with "License" in emulators table

I've noticed a recent change to the FLOSS column in the table is that it can sometimes show up as "NC" (non-commercial), which can further splinter the meaning of if it's FLOSS or not. As a solution, I'd like to propose replacing this column with one that says what license the emulator uses (e.g. GPLv3, MIT, Proprietary). I think this would be a good change because it allows users to know more about the exact licensing scheme the emulator uses rather than diluting it down to a generalization that might not tell the whole story. -MisterSheeple (talk) 11:33, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

+ I believe that's an excellent suggestion. Additionally, we should redirect users to the Licensing page (Licensing|License), which covers licensing and citing differences between various software licenses. This will allow users to know more about licensing as mentioned by MisterSheeple. Ahayri (talk) 11:53, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
It looks like this is in the process of being rolled out across the wiki. Thank you to whoever implemented my suggestion! -MisterSheeple (talk) 00:49, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
I have an idea: what if we merge both the FLOSS and License columns? I'm thinking something like this:
Name Platform(s) Latest version FLOSS/License Active Recommended
PCSX2 Windows Linux macOS 2.8.2
Nightly builds
Older builds for obsolete hardware
✓ (GPLv3)
(Simplified table for PCSX2 as an example) SuperGamer18 (talk) 01:07, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
I don't agree with this because in my opinion, the point of replacing FLOSS with License was because the definition of FLOSS was being complicated with the addition of "NC" for non-commercial. But I do see your point that more information could be given to the user here. Something that might be of more utility to the user would be putting in parentheses whether the license is copyleft or permissive (e.g. "BSD (permissive)" and "GPLv2 (copyleft)"), with each linking to the license as well as the definitions of copyleft and permissive. -MisterSheeple (talk) 23:44, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
While I do understand your points, the main reason I did this was so the license column didn't look so bland (aka restoring the background colors the FLOSS column had because of some templates). Maybe that last part could also be clarified in the Licensing page? Though thank you for your suggestions, here's a table incorporating your feedback (I'll use the PCSX2 example again :3)
Name Platform(s) Latest version FLOSS/License Active Recommended
PCSX2 Windows Linux macOS 2.8.2
Nightly builds
Older builds for obsolete hardware
✓ (GPLv3, Copyleft)
SuperGamer18 (talk) 20:43, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Maybe we should specify colors for templates like this: Template:GPLv3, Template:Copyleft, green, red, or orange to corresponding licenses. Ahayri (talk) 20:50, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
I'll look into that later. Luckily the templates for ✓, ✗ and ~ have their color hex value inside of the template code, so that will make the process easier. Now here's the difficult part... Which licenses should receive which background color? One I can definitely think of is propietary using the red color background. I'll probably leave the rest to you guys. SuperGamer18 (talk) 23:07, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Well, I've seen some pages and I must say that I'm quite proud about how easy it was to implement! I see that there was only a need to make one new template, which is cool! Thanks for hearing my feedback and thanks to MisterSheeple for the original idea! SuperGamer18 (talk) 16:14, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
I've been asked by an anon to continue discussion over on the Template talk page so that non-autoconfirmed users can speak. I have some feedback to offer regarding the assigning of colors, so please take a look over on that page. -MisterSheeple (talk) 02:13, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
I also recieved that message, but thanks for notifying me! SuperGamer18 (talk) 23:19, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

Loading problems with the Wiki recently

Recently, the Wiki started to exhibit some problems with pages displaying DB query errors and requiring multiple refreshes before finally loading. Very inconvenient. This Wiki needs more technical maintenance, it's the only relevant emulation infohub (besides the Fandom Wiki, but screw'em, they've been outdated and irrelevant for ages now).

Maybe the administration should provide visitors with support options to support the Wiki itself (PayPal, Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, OpenCollective, LiberaPay, Alipay, Bitcoin and shitcoins, you name it) to allow for better tech support? Emulator devs fundraise all the time, why not the Wiki itself?

Actually, this Wiki may benefit from a lot of improvements in technical sense, for example, the deployment of Wikidata (knowledge graph software) to allow for an easy convenient mechanicsm for translated articles. Ilyagredasov (talk) 10:37, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

Main page v2

To improve the Emugen Wiki's main page, I suggest we trim its content and reorganize the system listings. We could categorize them by media type, using the following primary categories:

Each primary category could then be sub-categorized by hardware type (e.g., home consoles, handhelds, personal computers) and further by their respective console generation. To improve readability, we could use columns or tables to display each subcategory. Ahayri (talk) 12:25, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

So you want a few sortable wikitables? It's cool. But some will have multiple media, e.g. TG16 has the attachable CD addon + later version with integrated CD-ROM that accepts both HuCard cartridges and CD discs, there's a Mega Drive with integrated Sega CD version (in addition to attachable addon), N64 has N64DD addon for diskette games, also Famicom Disk System, also Jaguar CD, means some entries will probably need to appear twice or their addons will have to be listed separately. And some will have different generations (e.g. Videopac+ vs Videopac or Sega 32x addon which is considered 5th gen because it's 32-bit, but Mega Drive and CD are 4th gen). Ilyagredasov (talk) 18:19, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
We've been down this road before and the idea of trimming the main page wasn't appreciated by several users. Perhaps we could have an alternative slimmer Main Page as an option, while keeping the current one as the default option, calling the new one Main_Page_Simple. Jpx (talk) 13:52, 28 September 2025 (UTC)

Merge all enhancement features into a single page

It would be easier to refer to a single page instead of the scattered methods we've been using for years.

Ahayri (talk) 19:49, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

Honestly I'm not quite sure how this could be handled, as some of these pages are huge (eg shaders, texture packs, etc.). Also I wouldn't include RetroAchievements in the merge as that by itself is a big enough topic to receive its own page (if the merge happens and RA gets its own subsection in the achievements support sectio, a blurb saying:
Main article: RetroAchievements
would be appropiate. SuperGamer18 (talk) 20:42, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Remove unemulated hardware features/peripherals by all selected emulators?

Do you think we should remove unemulated hardware features/peripherals by all selected emulators in the hardware features and peripherals section? Because I feel like it's just spam and a waste of space. Any of them that have reference tags should be kept. Gorilli09 (talk) 16:50, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

Hell no. The whole point of the hardware features and peripherals tables is not just to show what works right now, but also to let users see at a glance what's still missing, what the potential is, and where each emulator could still improve. Leaving the unemulated stuff in instantly tells people the current limits and gives idea about roadmap of what’s left to tackle. Stripping out everything that’s red would just make the tables look artificially “complete” and hide the "real gaps". Ahayri (talk) 17:18, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

Bing / DuckDuckGo indexing

Turns out the reason why the wiki wasn't showing up on bing/DDG search was just because of missing metadata, so I've added an extension and updated a few pages to get them re-indexed. If you want to update pages use this, just note that Bing is really strict with metadata for some reason (other search engines don't care) so make sure the title and description aren't too long or too short.

{{#seo:
|title=<!-- Must be between 50-60 characters -->
|keywords=<!-- Don't know if this is actually needed -->
|description=<!-- Must be between 150-160 characters -->
|published_time={{#time:c|{{REVISIONTIMESTAMP}}}}
}}

Invisible categories problem

Is it possible to turn on the visibility of the categories at the bottom of articles again for mobile users? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Reading/Web/Advanced_mobile_contributions They're invisible by default unless you switch to desktop mode after the update. Thanks. Ilyagredasov (talk) 14:13, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Yeah, it's back now. --SonofUgly (talk) 06:46, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Maybe time for new logo(s) (top left). I've made 7 new ones just based off screenshots with 'EMU GEN' in them for testing, though they could be better. It's set up so there can be multiple and they automatically change everyday (and specific ones for holidays can be set too), so I can add more if anyone wants to make some. Although as far as the design goes, the ones on the recommended games wiki are done better IMO, a simple design with different characters, so maybe we could do something like that if anyone has any ideas.

Resolution is 160x160. --SonofUgly (talk) 06:46, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Something like this?

Some characters ideas:
-- R-K (talk) 02:03, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
Thought the screenshots ones could be interesting, like banners on 4chan, but they just didn't look good, so yeah probably best to go with this. Plus it keeps a consistent design across the wikis, and they're easier to make. --SonofUgly (talk)
The screenshot ones are indeed interesting. Maybe they could be used as banners in the welcome section of the main page, similar to pouet.net. - - R-K (talk) 03:00, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
Maybe could put it in the dead space on top of the page, but I feel like it would make things look too cluttered.
Alright I've got enough images to do one every day for a month plus 24 holidays (mostly just copied from the vsrecommendedgames wiki), they're here. Also because of the super low resolution, modern characters with fine details can often look pretty bad and realisticly porportioned humanoids will just look like a thin line if they're not in a dynamic pose. --SonofUgly (talk) 05:00, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
It would be better if the logo changed on each refresh so visitors understand the idea behind having multiple logos. If one logo stays up all day, it might give the impression that it's the official wiki logo.
I believe this will do (in localsettings):
$logos = [
    "https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/images/logo/Wiki_logo_0.png",
    "https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/images/logo/Wiki_logo_1.png",
    "https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/images/logo/Wiki_logo_2.png"
];
$wgLogos = [ '1x' => $logos[array_rand($logos)] ];
The white circle for dark mode is a nice trick, but I think it might be possible to use logos specifically designed for dark mode.
$wgLogos = [
    '1x' => 'url/to/standard-logo.png',
    'variants' => [
        'dark' => 'url/to/white-text-logo.png'
    ]
];
It's possible to pull the logos straight from that Wiki logos article, and you can also set certain logos to appear only on specific dates, though both requires JS. Also this is maybe a bit complicated, so just a thought.
Aside from that, impressive work. - - R-K (talk) 01:33, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
That's a good point, I guess I was thinking like a daily theme sort of thing but yeah random is a better idea and the holidays can be left for that. As for dark mode, I should've had the text and image on seperate css layers but I didn't so that's a lot of work to undo. Dark mode is a bit jank anyway on mediawiki right now, so a bit more jank is whatever. And pulling from an article seems unnecessary, if someone wants to add an image they can just post link to it and I can add it. --SonofUgly (talk) 02:01, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
Yeah that makes sense. The random refresh idea should work nicely, and keeping holidays separate sounds good too. And fair enough about dark mode and the article idea. Thanks for considering it. - - R-K (talk) 07:28, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

Vandalism of the front page news template

An anonymous user vandalised the template to prove a point. Reverted his edit. But he has a point. Maybe the news template must be protected as well, make it editable by auto-confirmed users only? Actually, the entire template and file namespaces. Ilyagredasov (talk) 11:27, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

What was the user's point? - - R-K (talk) 17:07, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
"Unprotected templates and images serve as a backdoor even if the main page itself is protected, I edited the news template itself, making it display with a dancing Mario gif on the front page, but I could have used a goatse gif if I wanted, so protect your templates and files, you dumbfucks". Basically, this. Ilyagredasov (talk) 01:05, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Yeah that makes sense, templates and files used on the main page can bypass its protection. Maybe instead of restricting the entire namespace, only the templates and files actually transcluded on the front page could be semi-protected. That keeps most of the wiki open while preventing obvious abuse. - - R-K (talk) 06:55, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Maybe. Hope User:SonofUgly sees this. Ilyagredasov (talk) 09:34, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd like to restrict things as little as possible, being allowed to do things anonymously is kind of important given where this wiki spawned from. And honestly most vandals are dumbasses who can't figure out templates (don't recall it ever being vandalized before), so it doesn't seem super necessary. But I suppose if it's used on the main page it probably should be protected, so sure. --SonofUgly (talk) 19:58, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

Spam still coming despite captcha

An anonymous editor created this trash despite captcha. Either a malicious bot already trained or another human vandal. User:SonofUgly, I know you're for as little restrictions as possible, but maybe creation of new articles should also be restricted to auto-confirmed users? Ilyagredasov (talk) 16:09, 2 April 2026 (UTC)

Unprotected file on the main page

needs to be protected similarly to all the other image files used on the main page, they're already protected, auto-confirmed users only. Ilyagredasov (talk) 20:36, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

CategoryTree

Yo @SonofUgly, we should probably add the CategoryTree extension. It'd make the category pages way less of a mess to navigate by adding those [+] toggles for sub-cats. Pretty low-effort to set up but would help a lot with the hierarchy. TitleKey extension would be nice to load too, since it deals with case insensitive search problem, other quality of life extensions maybe Popups and InputBox, probably also DiscussionTools. - - R-K (talk) 14:34, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Random blocks

I keep getting random blocks for 104.23.187.94, but I didn't do anything wrong! Gorilli09 (talk) 14:59, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

Emulation issues sections has been deleted from the "Console emulators" pages

It seems that someone decided to delete the sections off the pages, and from what I can see from the history, it seems to be done by the former user Ahayri, which I don't know if they're an admin or moderator.

But either way, I wonder if it is a decision made by the admins from the wiki or the user just thought they're unnecessary on the pages despite offering good insight on the issues faced when emulating a console to another platform.

I'm making this question aware, and wonder if it is the case or not.
