- For software that emulates the Nintendo GameCube, see Nintendo GameCube emulators.
The GameCube was a relative failure in the 6th generation and has an underwhelming selection of homebrew, but given that it was highly similar to the more successful Wii, many of the best emulators for that system are available on both. However, as the GameCube was a pure gaming system with limited connectivity, actually loading the emulators may prove more of a challenge than on the Wii. Modern methods available to load homebrew typically require unofficial loader discs, exploitable game saves (which themselves require another hacked system to add the savefile to the card), or a modchip. See here for more details on individual methods and compatible vulnerable games.
Please refer to GC-Forever Wiki for more detailed GC-specific coverage of individual emulators and other homebrew.
