On top of these its supports directly from .zip archive and [[GoodTools|goodmerged]] file loading. The standalone version of Mesen1 ceased development around October 2020 for unknown reasons, but the [https://githubRequires .com/libretro/Mesen libretro] fork is still active and the original developer resumed development in March 2021 with multi-system emulator [https://github.com/SourMesen/Mesen2 Mesen2]NET 6.

Nestopia Undead Edition is a fork of Nestopia meant to keep it alive and fix the aforementioned bugs. This version is generally recommended over vanilla. Even the libretro core for Nestopia is the Undead Edition.
