LAN play

[edit source]

We should add a summary of the addition of LAN play for a total of 8 games to the page. This was a large addition and points towards more multiplayer stuff, I dont understand why it's not here.

Citron update

[edit source]

The recommendation of Citron should be reevaluated in light of recent developments.

There has been a lot of fighting over which forks should be recommended. In my opinion, we shouldn't be fully recommending inactive projects, unless they have completed near full compatibility before going inactive (a little like the pre-switch official virtual consoles), which Switch emulation hasn't achieved yet. Considering the above issues with Citron, it also shouldn't be recommended. Perhaps we can set Sudachi to ~, linking to them being inactive and even recommending Eden themselves, and Citron to X, since they are also inactive (and link the Reddit threads) - 40608

I disagree with the notion that we shouldn't recommend inactive projects, such as Sudachi, since it is still functional and stable, and serves as a good alternative and replacement for yuzu, regardless of its active status. I also disagree with the idea that we shouldn't recommend Citron due to internal issues or drama within its team and community — those factors have nothing to do with how functional and stable it is, and it remains a solid alternative and replacement for yuzu. According to their official Discord server, Citron is still active. However, if Citron were to implement a DRM system that would prevent or hinder users from using it, then in my opinion, it would be clear that we cannot recommend it. -162.158.222.50 16:21, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
