What about providing menstrual leave for employees has anything whatsoever to do with DRM-free installers? I understand you have a political disagreement with them doing so, but it is entirely irrelevant to the presence of copy protection on games or software. Cloudsets (talk) 18:01, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- The only way I could see it happen is if a prior version of the game is deemed "unacceptable" for whatever reason, and GOG ceasing distribution of that and only providing the later "approved" version. But that's a hypothetical scenario. Phredreeke (talk) 18:08, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't have any problem providing menstrual leave for employees, but DEI is more than just that. There are other factors (like censorship or ignoring specific titles) could affect GOG.com's approach to preservation in the future. I guess you are not happy with my revised sentence, so perhaps it would be best to avoid discussing this topic altogether if you're unhappy with my attempts to provide information. - And yet the sole evidence provided that it is "DEI" is that menstrual leave is provided for employees. You link a Steam forum post which only links two sources acknowledging that CDPR has established menstrual leave and a link to the company's bog-standard diversity department page that virtually every business has. Combining that with your userpage being nothing but political rants (almost entirely about extremist topics like race realism, no less), it is pretty clear that this is a purely political issue for you which you are deeply invested in. This is an informational resource for emulators, not your personal political blog. It is inappropriate for you to use this wiki for your political rants. Stick to facts, not propaganda and ideology. Ahayri you'd know very well there is no "compromising" with the kind of stuff you are dealing with, yes DEI, which is being rebranded as BRIDGE, is more than employee privileges, there is also evidence of the internships offered (CDPR and UBI) to literally anybody but males/whites/straights, so it is a real thing, a thing that can also turn to censoring and changing older videogames just how it has happened to countless animation works. That's what can or can not happened, the rest has happened and is happening right now. Just use as neutral language as you can muster to get your point across and be done with it.
- This rhetoric is so extremist in its political messaging that it verges on a political cult. It is deeply inappropriate for you to talk about your ideological propaganda on a wiki page about bypassing copy protection on a video games wiki. Kindly take the politics to your personal blogs.
