With all three options, the UltraCIC II/III supports multiple CIC types. This is useful for Rareware games such as Banjo Tooie and Donkey Kong 64, removing the need for hacks.
ED64+/Super64: These are clones of the Everdrive 64 v1 or v2 cart. Earlier revisions of the ED64+ don't have UltraCIC and piggyback on a retail cart to boot. [https://github.com/ariahiro64/altra64 Altra64] is an open-source Everdrive firmware replacement that doesn't brick clone carts.
