Skyline reached ingame on two Nintendo Switch games in January 2022 and has been improving massively since.
Skyline was founded as "Lightswitch" in June 2019 by daCyuubi.<ref>[https://github.com/skyline-emu/skyline/commit/4cd6c574f062e723a47007d5dc97e67bcef080eb] daCyubbi's first commit.</ref><br>In May 2021, Skyline booted up several homebrew tests with graphical output.<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Tz8DmYxUvk] Skyline running Space Game NX, a homebrew game.</ref><br>Later, in January 2022, Sonic Mania and Celeste also started booting in Skyline, albeit with low FPS and graphical glitches.<br>March 2022 saw the improvemnt of Celeste in terms of graphics, along with the emulator rendering the openings of Super Mario Odyssey and , the menu of The Legend of Zelda BOTW, and Bastion booting in game./<br> In April 2022, more improvements to performance was made, making Super Mario Odyssey run roughly 10x faster in the openings <ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSU7Itpm7Bs] Super Mario Odyssey running on a Snapdragon 710 from April 2022.</ref> and also having Unity games running.
