Emulators on Wii U

Undo revision 83846 by 172.68.27.113 (talk) the old edit had worse wording / a bad recommendation? how about a reason for undoing my edit rather than just undoing it. thx
Most [[Emulators on Wii|emulators available for the Wii]] will also work on vWii (virtual Wii) mode on the Wii U, and some of them even support the Wii U Pro Controller or the Wii U Gamepad. However, due to sandboxing, there won't be any performance gains compared to running those emulators bare-metal on a Wii.
The most interesting [[Nintendont]], while not an emulator, really hypervisor, is Nintendont, for enables the ability to play GameCube gaming. You can run it directly in vwii HBCgames on the Wii U as well, or through a wii usb loader like ulgx or wiiflow as a frontendwith little compromise.

Please notice note that Retroarch RetroArch isn't currently compatible with the Aroma custom firmware. In order to run RetroarchRetroArch, you will have to boot a legacy cfw like tiramisuuse an older hack such as Tiramisu (Haxchi and Mocha also both work, haxchi or mochabut really shouldn't be used at this point).

LiteNESUGacubeboy: one small emulator coded in 8 hours. Uses GX2 graphics but has a lot of the first homebrew programs for the wiiugraphical glitches. Barely a PoCPoor compatibility. Slow, without No sound, low compatibility. Cant load games from the scard
GBiine: Wiiu Heig-Boy port. You'll have to host and load the game from the networkCan open a few gbc roms, next to just the payloadones designed for dual usage in gbc and original gb, with the old browser method. Or, alternativelylike Links Awakening DX, bundle the roms inside the elf executable but in gb mode (16in1no color) at compilation time. You'd better Supports saves. No sound.
NooDS: while this emulator is focused on nintendo ds, it can make use retroarchof the emulated slot-2 to actually load gba games, or which do run fullspeed but with some minor glitches.
Retroarch is generally the injection methodbest choice. Alternatively, or one of the there are good gb/gbc/gba emulators on the in wii side mode, like fceugxmgba or vbagx.
