Category:Add-on console emulators

This category lists emulators which emulate consoles that existed as add-ons to other device and carry hardware of the original console (which means support of peripherals like Power Base Converter for Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, which merely contain a pass-through port, isn't counted in this category) and offer certain exclusive gaming features (so add-ons like 3DO Blaster card aren't counted since they don't bring anything new to 3DO games).

Examples include both Pioneer LaserActive PACs (where both PACs connect to the player which otherwise has no gaming functions and let you play LaserDisc titles), PC-FXGA (PC-FX in form factor of a PC-98/DOS-V board, reminiscent of the 3DO Blaster, but with additional functionality, the HuC6273/Aurora chip for 3D graphics), Super Game Boy Player for SNES (which lets some games use extra functions like custom audio and color palettes) and Game Boy Player for GameCube (which lets play GBA games on TV).

For the latter two, proper emulation means ideally having a multi-system emulator with synchronized emulation of both the main console and the add-on console hardware (or at least emulating the attached add-on mode).
