Box86 and Box64 are open-source Linux usermode x86 and x86-64 emulators for several architectures. Box86 emulates 32-bit x86 CPUs and requires a 32-bit userspace while Box64 emulates a x86_64 CPU and requires a 64-bit userspace.

The main target is ARM, and ARM64 CPUs respectively, they also have varying support for the RISC-V, LoongArch, PowerPC, POWER9 architectures. They do not support big-endian architectures, only little-endian architectures.

They provide dynamic recompilation for the ARM, ARM64 and RISC-V architectures, as well as functionality to intercept dynamic library calls and forward them to equivalent native libraries, allowing applications to run significantly faster than if they were fully emulated.
