Box86 and Box64 are open-source Linux usermode x86 and x86-64 emulators for ARM, RISC-V and LoongArch machines. Box86 emulates 32-bit x86 CPUs and requires a 32-bit userspace while Box64 emulates a x86_64 CPU and requires a 64-bit system.
They provide dynamic recompilation as well as functionality to intercept dynamic library calls and forward them to equivalent native libraries, allowing applications to run significantly faster than if they were fully emulated.
