Hypseus Singe is a fork and SDL2 version of Daphne. It includes support for SINGE simulation.
In Greek mythology Hypseus is a sibling of Daphne.
HYPSEUS is an SDL2 update to the DAPHNE emulator engine. It supports one game that neither Daphne nor MAME support: Stern's Goal to Go and also includes support for SINGE simulation. Re-imagined versions of the Action Max, Captain Power XT-7 and SEGA Video Driver VHS games are also supported. There are several features SDL2 allows over the original Daphne version: Supporting enhanced 4k MPEG-2 video, including multiple screen support. Integrated bezels, hot-pluggable GameControllers, lightgun support and (with a 32bit upgrade on the Daphne VLDP) support for the full range of extended run-time games introduced in Singe 2. Hypseus also runs a full 32bit overlay on Singe games, this can be reverted to the original 8-bit via command line arguments. The diversity of features allows Hypseus to run games on a multitude of hardware including SBCs, such as the Raspberry Pi and its kin.
