[edit source]The website listed in this article, bsnes.org, is an unofficial page that is both not linked to by the offical bsnes GitHub Repository, and links to another unoffical repository only containing (potentially compromised?) builds of bsnes, as well as links to other phishing pages for emulators like VisualBoyAdvance.
