ePSXe is very outdated. Changing discs is very problematic and it can crash randomly.[[PCSX-Reloaded| ]]It is also not actively developedand closed source. .
[[PCSX-Reloaded|PCSX-R]] is very similar to ePSXe, and even uses many of the same plugins, butis much better and is updated regularly. [[XEBRA]] and [[Mednafen]] are also viable alternatives, but they are different. They do not use plugins, and are native resolution only.
