'''higan''' (formerly bsnes) is an open source [[Multi-System Emulators|multi-system emulator]]. Currently, the only thing worth using in higan is the [[Emulation Accuracy|cycle-accurate]] [[Super Nintendo emulators|SNES]] core. It was created in response to inaccurate SNES emulators such as [[ZSNES]] and shoddy ROM hacks. On December 12th, 2014, author 'byuu' announced that development on Higan has ended, citing lack of time and depression.
