The '''[[wikipedia:Apple_Pippin|Apple Pippin]]''', marketed and stylized as '''PiPP!N''', is a fifth-generation home video game console initially released by Bandai on March 28, 1996 in Japan, and later the same year in the United States, with an initial MSRP of {{Inflation|USD|499.99|1996}} (2-box set) / {{Inflation|USD|599.99|1996}} (3-box set).
The hardware was based on the [[wikipedia:Power_Macintosh|Power Macintosh line]], featuring a PowerPC 603 CPU clocked @ 66 MHz, expandable RAM up to 22 MB (Bandai models have 6 MB onboard, while the KMP 2000 has 8 MB), with and a largely underpowered Taos 8/16-bit VGA GPU.
