The 3DS does include natively a native firmware for a GBA mode, which was mainly used for the to run ambassador releasesinstead of having to develop an emulator for them. Compatibility is perfect barring cartridges with special hardware. This is not emulation, as the 3DS contains the hardware from the original DS, which in turn supported GBA. So far, the only way to access this firmware is by injecting and installing a GBA ROMs ROM as a VCapplication. Compatibility is high with the exception of cartridges with special hardware.
