The PC-8800 series, also known as the PC-88, were a family of computers made by NEC starting in 1981. The last models of the PC-88 were released in 1989, though it is unknown when they were discontinued. The PC-88 was released in America and Japan.

editThe PC-8801 was released in 1981 and had a NEC µPD780 at 4 MHz with 64KB of RAM and 48KB of VRAM.
The PC-8801mkII model 10 was released in 1983 and had the same specs as the PC-8801 but with new sound components.
Same thing as the PC-8801mkII model 10 but with 1 5.25" floppy drive.

The PC-8801mkII SR model 10 was released in 1985 and had new sound components.
