Emulation issues: new section
Standover Tactics
Stop standing over and/or being quite the bully to any and all other users/editors who have put up accurate information including exact versioning numbering and methodologies. If an emulator's official website, e.g. higan's, shows v092, v096, v102, v106 and etc; and that MOST other emulation-related websites use the same exact numbering, then THERE IS NO DISCERNIBLE or stressed need to pick your own different 'opinion' and suddenly add a dot in it, e.g. "v0.106". No, it's not accurate and rather needs to be avoided. Though, some other users tend to rely on the dotted number in the template page for higan's emulator specifically when it is updated with a new version. But that's because one user started it and then the others followed it there probably without realising that it was a bit off. But when you see the links to other emulator branches based on bsnes or higan in the SNES chart, then a strong preference is that their version numbering needs to be followed. Also even you were wrong in that you KEPT BOTH the "v" and initial "0" at the start of version numbers of those emu forks (Different from the template page's numbering with just the initial "0", but I'm leaving that page alone even though I think it's a bit off). Don't be so incredibly fussy/pedantic! ObiKKa (talk) 15:38, 30 November 2018 (EST)
