Reworded and added more info about Mednafen bsnes core. 059 be old. No clue why they use it.
*Windows-only
5. [[Mednafen]]
*The SNES core is based on bSNES 059 which is rather oldfrom 2010. It pre-dates the performance/balanced/accuracy builds. This version is much faster than the current version.*By using the difficult to emulate game Air Strike Patrol as a test, Missing many of the accuracy of Mednafen's snes core is below LLE audio improvements that newer versions of all three current Retroarch cores, Snes9x, and especially that of Higan but is vastly more accurate than ZSNESuse currently. This *The version of bsnes that Mednafen is a meaningless comparison, however, since S9x could be using tons of hacks to output correctly, which would break is missing out on many other accuracy updates that particularlly impacts a few edge case gamessuch as Air Strike Patrole. The old bsnes could be (signifigance of this game is it was one of two games known to manipulate the PPU mid-scanline and probably is) doing things by notoriously difficult to emulate. Some of the problems Mednafen has versus newer cores is poorly rendered text, flickering lines near the booksbottom of the screen, but isn't far along enough in development and missing shadow durring flight.*While acceptable for many games its recommended to display properly. Never use one game to compare two emulatorsSnes9x, Higan, or Retroarch instead.
6. [[ZSNES]]
*Will run full speed on ANY toaster, supposedly back to the weakest of Pentium 1s (yes I tested!)
