Removed idiotic bias against game paks, added a mention of bsnes
* A superb LLE audio engine.
higan (or, as it was known before it expanded to more systems, bsnes) is the most accurate SNES emulator, but the vanilla build can confuse newcomers due to the "Advent of Gamepaks". As the developer puts it who do not care about accuracy more than playing games should [https://byuu.org/articles/emulation-4/ in an article on his website], bsnes version 0.73 is user-friendly despite being a bit more dated, and it lacks many of the recent improvements to the core. If you want to get the best out of your system, / stick with the accuracy profile if your computer is powerful enough. When scaling down, use forks based on 0.73 such as his recently released bsnes-classic or bsnes-plus, as they backport many of the improvements from new releases. Version 097 is the last version of the emulator to include "performance" and "balanced" profiles for less powerful systems; from that point on, it only has the accurate profile. Vanilla build users will need to learn how to set "game folders" and distinguish co-processor roms and so on. If this gets too confusing, opt for the aforementioned bsnes forks, or use the libretro bsnes cores (and also check out bsnes-mercury; that restores HLE chip functionality). libretro cores are often very closely updated with upstream's latest developments and offer an easy way to set up your roms.]
