The '''X68000''' <span style="font-weight: normal">(<span class="t_nihongo_kanji" lang="ja" style="font-family: sans-serif;">エックスろくまんはっせん</span> ''Ekkusu Rokuman Hassen''[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Installing_Japanese_character_sets <span class="t_nihongo_icon" style="color: #00e; font: bold 80% sans-serif; text-decoration: none; padding: 0 .1em;">?</span>])</span> is a home computer created by [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharp_Corporation Sharp Corporation], first released in 1987, sold only in Japan.
The first model featured a 10 MHz Motorola 68000 CPU (hence the name), 1 MB MiB of RAM, and no hard drive; the last model was released in 1993 with a 25 MHz Motorola 68030 CPU, 4 MB MiB of RAM, and optional 80 MB [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCSI SCSI] hard drive. RAM in these systems is expandable to 12 MBMiB, though most games and applications did not require more than two.

The author of * [[XM6 TypeG programmed the emulator to refuse ]] refuses to run if unless it's not is on a genuine Japanese Windows installation. Others have edited it to remove this DRM. [[MESS]] also supports the system. Not sure how well it works. Please add information.
