It had a ARM7T CPU with 2KB of RAM. Software for the PocketStation was typically distributed as extras for PlayStation games, included in the CD-ROMextras, enhancing the games with added features. Stand-alone software could also be downloaded through the PlayStation console. The software is then transferred to the PocketStation for use. A built-in infrared data interface allows direct transfer of data such as game saves between PocketStation units, as well as multiplayer gaming. A total of 60 PS1 games in total were compatible with the PocketStation. ==Emulators==<div style="overflow-x:auto;">{| class="wikitable" style="text-align:center;width:100%"

</div><references group=N/> ===Comparisons=Emulation Issues==There is no readily available Kernel ROM dump online;MAME:Currently, a handful of games run, which is required for full compatibility when emulating with PK201but some die due to odd hardware issues. However, the file in PKEmu known  ;No$GBA:PocketStation as kernelpart of NO$GBA 2.7 onwards.bin is known to work in PK201 if renamed to KROMThe odd choice of emulators comes from GBA, no file extensionDS and PocketStation sharing parts of the ARM architecture. It is unknown how compatible this is with most gamesFunctional
