Comparison: Grammar fixes
PPSSPP is a fairly new emulator, but it has been making tremendous progress. Compatibility is lower than [http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/JPCSP JPCSP], but it is significantly faster. It is only recommended to use JPCSP if the game does not work in PPSSPP.
JCPSP requires the Jave Runtime Environment to be installed, which has a history of security issues. Because it uses Java, it is also much slower than [http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/PPSSPP PPSSPP]. It is recommended to use PPSSPP instead, and only to use JPCSP if a game does not work. Development of PPSSPP is rapid, and it will soon overtake JPCSP in terms of game compatibilitcompatibility.

Both require a plugin for sound to work. See: [[PPSSPP#Common_problems_and_fixes:]]
