'''Kahvibreak''' is a [[Preservation projects|preservation project]] and collection of [[Cellphone_emulators#J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition(J2ME)|Java 2 Micro Edition]] mobile phone games, presented using the [[Flashpoint|Flashpoint Launcherlauncher]] and emulated via the J2ME emulators <i>[[KEmulator]]</i> and <i>[[FreeJ2ME]]</i>. As of January 2024, this project is inactive, due to the disappearance of the project's maintainer, Nokia64.
==Overview==
* The launcher for BlueMaxima's Kahvibreak Flashpoint (the J2ME Flash preservation project).
* Kahvibreak uses the same workflow as Flashpoint. Games are curated in the same way, and each game has the same set of metadata (publisher, developer, logo, screenshot, etc).
* A version of the Java software is included alongside Kahvibreak and the emulators run through it, so you don't need to install Java to play.

==Controls==
The numpad is laid out like a phone keypad (with the 7/8/9 and 1/2/3 key rows reversed).
Q and W are soft keys, E and R serve as * and #, and you can navigate with the arrow keys and Enter.
Both emulators use the same control scheme.
==Kahvibreak Curation Tutorial==

These are added to the collection by curators on our Discord server. Curation consists of picking out best version(s) of a game and packaging it with a logo, gameplay screenshot and metadata (essentially information such as its developer, publisher, genre, platform and release date) and choosing one of included emulators which works best with it.
