1. Update to latest version
Emulators can have stable builds that are weeks, months, and sometimes even years old. The "stable" version is often times just a randomly picked dev version. That is why the latest dev versions should be preferred. This could solve emulation issues most of the time. Links to dev builds can be found at the pages for PCSX-R, PCSX2, Dolphin, nullDC, DeSmuME and PPSSPP.
2. Change settings
If you're using a plugin based emulator, graphical glitches and sound issues might be solved by changing the settingsor using a different, better plugin altogether.*PS1 Plugins*N64 PluginsIf you're using Dolphin, try switching the graphics back end backend between OpenGL and Direct3D, and the sound between HLE and LLE.
For PCSX2, check the issues section of it's its wiki page.

5. Check the archives
6. Read the wiki
The rest of the wiki may have information you need. http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page
7. Ask Emulation General
*The problem itself. Do not forget that, because if you do then what comes out makes no sense whatsoever.
