The Atari LynxColecoVision was a fourththe second-generation handheld video game console released produced by AtariColeco on September 1in August of 1982, 1989 and it before being discontinued in 1984 partly due to the ongoing crash in North America at the time. It retailed for USD. It has and had a WDC 65SC02 Zilog Z80 CPUat 3.58 MHz with 8KB of RAM. Notably, it was provided gamers with experiences very much like the world's first handheld system that used a color LCD screenarcade versions of games, as well as having fairly advanced graphics for Donkey Kong as a pack-in title to showcase this, although the Atari 2600 and Intellivision could do the same with the respected hardware. It shares largely the same underpinnings with the timeSG-1000Unlike contemporaneous machinesIndeed, its architecture is based upon a frame buffer and a scaling blitter, providing both 2d sprite and background scaling and hardware clone of the SG-1000 known as the Dina 2-in-1 (sold in the United States as the Telegames Personal Arcade) had support for lines both SG-1000 and filled triangles. Because it has no inherent concept of a tile map or any sprite-specific hardwareColecoVision games, though compatibility with the drawing budget latter is per frame rather than per line; there is no enforced limit in terms of spotty due to the number lack of sprites an expansion module interface or sprites per line other than that implied by the amount of drawing that can be achieved within an acceptable frame ratea second numeric keypad, rendering two-player ColecoVision games unplayable.

===Comparison===;Mednafen:Based upon Handy, but unlike other forked cores, its emulation only improves upon the original. Despite having the .lnx extension, No-Intro ROMs aren’t directly compatible with Mednafen nor Handy and must be converted with make_lnx, which is bundled with Handy.;Handy:Hasn't been updated since 2007. Only included here for reference. <references group===BIOS===All emulators require a dump of the 512-byte BIOS named <code>lynxboot.img<N /code>. On Mednafen, put it on the root folder. Atari
