:Uses two cores ported from [[Mednafen]] for PlayStation emulation. "Octoshock" core (by zeromus) and "[https://github.com/TASEmulators/BizHawk/pull/3093 Nymashock]" core for PSX emulation (ported from mednafen to Bizhawk by zeromusCasualPokePlayer). [https://www.speedrun.com/twl/thread/nl2de BizHawk is accepted for specific games by Speedrun community], BizHawk is actually more preferred compared to other recommended emulators because at least for speedrunning it's more for catching those who try and pass off RTA runs as TASes. The Nymashock core is more preferred between the two, with public talks about removing the Octoshock core. Further that [https://www.speedrun.com/ctr/forums/sqeu6 only Mednafen and BizHawk accepted for certain games like CTR].
