HyperSpin is a frontend for several emulators, however the focus tends to be for arcade emulators (e.g. MAME). Officially suggested emulators available for HyperSpin include MAME, [[MESS]], [[Nestopia]] and [[ZSNES]]. For general use, though, do not use ZSNES; see [[Super Nintendo emulators|SNES]] for more information on better emulators. It provides frontend settings for supported emulators and allows for simple and automated setups for 7 different HTPC Media-Center programs. RoM-Jacket is designed to allow users to create a library that localizes emulator configuration preferences, joystick layouts and artwork assets to the ROM.
