Hydra is an experimental Nintendo Switch emulator built specifically for macOS. Unlike most cross-platform emulators, Hydra is designed from the ground up to leverage macOS-native technologies like Metal for graphics rendering. The emulator is optimized for Apple Silicon but also supports Intel-based Macs.
The emulator is in very early stages of development. Some homebrew applications work perfectly, while commercial games have varying degrees of compatibility. Some titles boot and are playable with community patches, though many features remain unimplemented or unstable.
