DingusPPC is an experimental open-source PowerPC systems emulator with limited support for some Macs.
Overview
[edit | edit source]DingusPPC is similar to PearPC, Sheepshaver, and QEMU in that it attempts to emulate PowerPC Macs. Unlike PearPC and Sheepshaver, which took shortcuts to achieve good performance on now lower-end hardware, DingusPPC uses the approach that QEMU does in emulating systems accurately. In addition, DingusPPC is intended to provide a better debugging environment including a disassembler and support for OpenFirmware.
