As of May 2024, Ruffle primarily supports older Flash content while also supporting some AS3 contents, which use ActionScript 1.0 and 2.0 with 95% of the language and 78% of the API implemented. ActionScript 3.0 support is at 75% of the language and 71% of the API. According to Bleeping Computer, it was reported that all the SWF games they tried in February 2021 "worked flawlessly." Newgrounds gives the option to use Ruffle for all of its Flash content, but the site staff avoids enabling Ruffle by default on posts that haven't been confirmed as compatible yet.
