Mairtrus had previously developed ports of NES games for the Genesis, before reporting having developed an NES emulator for the console, under the working name of NeMul, which has been said to possibly remain its name. The emulator remains under that name to this day.

For its time, it was a decent emulator. Modern emulators are much, much better, however. It is not very [[Emulation Accuracy|accurate]] due to needing to run on much weaker systems than currently available. Use only for curiosity purposes in [[DOSBox]].

The only supported mapper is mapper 0 (NROM). Almost all games for mapper 0 work, but have issues. However, games run very slow, there are various glitches, and the emulator does not work on Genesis hardware.
