An infobox for computer pages. Based on the improved Infobox emulator template, using a design closely modelled from Wikipedia with our own tweaks. Most parameters are optional but are explained below.
Parameters[edit]
The order of this list of parameters is meant to match the order they are displayed in the box. You can technically place each parameter in any order you want (as opposed to first
, second
, third
, etc.) in the markup, but it can get confusing as the template is designed to have the values show up only one way.
title
- The name of the computer. If no value is given, it will default to the name of the page instead, so it's highly recommended to set the parameter yourself.
logo
- Should be used for the logo of the computer (if it exists). Optional.
logowidth
- Set the width of the logo. Might be useful for logos that either exceed the size of the infobox, or have a more vertical (and thus uncomfortable) aspect ratio. Also optional.

- Used to put computer images in. The extra numbered parameters exist for cases where there are more than one image, possibly to represent different models. The extras can also be used without the presence of the first
image
parameter, but this isn't recommended. Optional but recommended. imagewidth

- Used to set the width of the images. Optional.
imagecaption
- Used to put a caption in. Describe both images if you use both parameters. Optional.
developer
- Who's making the computer? If the computer was discontinued, then who made the computer? Optional but recommended.
type
- What type of computer is it? "Home computer" or "Workstation" are the two biggest examples though you may find. Optional but recommended.
generation
- What generation was this computer (as a console) released in? Wikipedia has a comprehensive list, but you can also see our category for consoles. Only for computers re-released as consoles, optional.
release
- The release year of the computer. Optional but recommended.
discontinued
- When was the computer discontinued? Optional.
predecessor
- What computer came before this one? Optional.
successor
- What computer came after this one? Optional.
emulated
- Is this computer unofficially emulated? Required.
website
- The website of the computer, optional.
blank
- A spacer to put between parameters Optional.
start by adding "blank = " and then use the code " < span style= "color: #ECECEC" >blank < /span > " (remember to remove the spaces in the code or it wont work)
