== Dega Missing From List ==
While it may not be one of the best emulators, Dega has been around a very long time, has high compatibility, /supports FM chip sound/meka save import/FM chip soundzip support/video recording, and is very easy to use so I'm surprised it's not in the list. I didn't like Meka and all its confusing complexities back in the early 2000s so I have usually always used Dega to this day. Thanks to your page I'm now trying out your recommended emulators and am impressed. However I still think Dega stands up well against them. It's got to be right up there as one of the easiest to use emulator. You just run the exe and load the game lol, as all the default options are the best ones. Even joystick support is just a matter or turning on an option without any manual configuring required (unless you want to).
Most emulation sites seem to think Dega died in 2004 along with its website and that 1.12 was its last release however I've just discovered that Dega went opensource and continued for many more years until 2011 when it released a 1.16 release.
