EKA2L1 (EPOC Kernel Architecture 2 Level 1) is a free and open-source, cross-platform Symbian emulator. It allows users to play Symbian games by installing .sis files to an emulated device or mounting a virtual MMC or SD card.

History
bent started development on EKA2L1 in 2017 or 2018, submitting progress reports on Patreon and Reddit (via r/emulation). In February 2019, he quit Patreon in order to focus on reverse-engineering the N-Gage and reorganizing the central repository on GitHub, but would continue posting progress reports on the emulator's website. While Symbian's source code was publicly available, it was incompatible with the N-Gage.
On March 18, 2023, bent announced he would spend less time working on EKA2L1 to focus more on his personal life.
Overview
EKA2L1 supports S60v1 (including the N-Gage), S60v2, S60v3, S60v5, S^3 (Anna and Bella) and S80 devices, while S^2, S90 and UIQ are not supported.
The emulator emulates the EKA1 and EKA2 kernels and reimplements most critical app servers (equivalent to Windows services), which run tasks in the background, such as basic essentials, communication, graphics and the file system.
