While most people here don't care about pirating or fucking with people, '''please don't use this to cheat online, and don't attempt to play online if you can't even run the game on Dolphin at a <u>stable 60 VPS (fullspeed)</u>'''. All you'll do is fuck up everyone elses game, and possibly make Nintendo look into shutting everything down - ruining it for everyone.

Note: If you're using a newer build of Dolphin without [https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/controlling-global-user-directory/#Disable_the_Global_User_Directory_for_a_Specific_Build_with_.22portable.txt.22 portable.txt] these files need to go into My Documents\Dolphin Emulator\User\Wii\
Install the .wad file with Dolphin. Tools > Install WAD

Locate your dump, this should be a 1,579KB file found here: Dolphin\User\Wii\title\00000001\0000000d\content\0000011.app (the names may be different?)   If you don't have this file, make sure the wad installed, if not install it again.

Drag and drop 00000011.app (or the 1579KB file) into WiiCertDump.exe, this should create 6 files.

Install the certificate files by running the .cer files that were just created.

Now copy all the 6 files that were created to Dolphin\User\Wii\

Rename their file extensions to .pem

Now anyone following this guide and using the wad supplied will all be using the same certs to play online... not sure if this will cause any problems, or if Nintendo can wholesale ban the cert.

Before you get started

Do NOT use this to cheat online, and do not attempt to play a certain game online if you cannot run it in Dolphin at full speed.

Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection service, along with all other GameSpy-powered services, shut down on May 20th, 2014.[1][2] Most online-enabled games will not immediately be able to connect online because of this. Some games have been saved by the company that published them, such as Activision for Call of Duty. The Wii Shop Channel is no longer operational. (Discontinued in 2019)

Wiimmfi was created in an effort to preserve the Wi-Fi mode for various games, and many of them can be played online again thanks to it. If you want to try out a game that connected via Wi-Fi Connection, check it out. However, be aware that Wiimmfi is not meant to be used with Dolphin. Players who aren't emulating the system at full speed constantly while online will be banned from the servers. There are ways around this, but it's best just not to try again with a certain game if it does happen while playing it.

Requirements

How to

Simply copy over the certs into Dolphin's directory, the .pem files go to Dolphin\User\Wii\

Note: If you're using a newer build of Dolphin without portable.txt these files need to go into My Documents\Dolphin Emulator\User\Wii\

Playing online

You should now be able to get online with any game that supports Nintendo WFC and play online as a normal Wii would. It should also be noted that this isn't perfect yet, so there will be crashes and disconnects.
