The Atari 8-bit family is a series of 8-bit home computers introduced by Atari in 1979 and manufactured until 1992. It includes the Atari 400, 800, XL, XE and the home console version Atari XEGS. Due to similarity of hardware most Atari 8-bit emulators can also emulate the Atari 5200.
