Overview

ares began development on October 14th, 2004. It is available under the terms of the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. This means that ares is non-commercial software that does not permit publishing modifications (forks) online. The reason for this is to prevent splintering development between higan and ares. All improvements to ares are backported to higan, so if you prefer software under the terms of the GNU GPLv3 license, please download and use higan instead.
