Sega Model 2 is an arcade system board. First released in 1993 as a successor to the Sega Model 1 board. Sega Model 2 was the starting point of several popular arcade games and series such as Daytona USA, Dead Or Alive, Sega Rally, House of the Dead and Virtua Cop.

Comparisons
- Model 2 Emulator
- Formerly known as Nebula Model 2. Great compatibility (only one game is unplayable?) and moderate system requirements. Was for a long time, and still is for most games, the only way to play Model 2 games. Sadly it's Windows only, closed source and hasn't been updated since 2014.
- MAME
- MAMEs Model 2 emulation is actively developed and recently improved greatly with version 0.196 promoting the first two games to working status (Virtua Fighter 2 and Motor Raid). MAME 0.197 followed up with promoting Rail Chase 2 to working status. Other games might work but most have lots of graphic glitches and some will right out crash. Needs a fast CPU for full speed emulation.

- Is a way to buy the games as single purchases on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 and Xbox One (backwards compatibility).
