The PC Engine (known in the west as TurboGrafx-16) .

PC Engine CD (TurboGrafx-CD) was a CD addon.

PC-FX was a follow up console which was never released in Western markets. Many PCE emulators include PC-FX functionality.

Comparisons

Ootake is okay for general purposes.

Mednafen is great. Command line only though. It has PCE-Fast, and PCE-Accurate. It can also has a PC-FX core.

RetroArch can run Mednafen's PCE-Fast core. . GUI and other things.

MagicEngine only has a free demo available. To get the full version costs €15 EUR. There is no reason to buy it when there are better free options available.
