NTVDMx64 is an unofficial patch of Microsoft's NTVDM (NT Virtual DOS Machine) for 64-bit Windows. Created by a person who calls himself Leecher1337, it allows 16-bit DOS applications and games to run on 64-bit Windows. It's source code is leaked from Windows NT. Recent versions of NTVDMx64 allow running 16-bit Windows applications and games on 64-bit Windows[1]. Since NTVDMx64 is very slow and uses non-standard ways to run 16-bit applications and games, it is recommended to use emulators such as DOSBox, vDOS and PCem, virtualization software such as VirtualBox, VMware Workstation Player and QEMU etc.
