VirtuaNES was once an emulator of choice prior to the availability of [[FCEUX|FCE]] and [[Nestopia]]. However, it is old, inaccurate (passes less than 35% of [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c9IswrneXgFpu49bDyLL79XEdO7UrUZz4x-qEmOo5vI/edit#gid=11 TASVideos' accuracy tests]), and has an awkward user interface. It is thus not recommended except for games that require its support for obscure accessories or for speed on very old hardware.
